Description

For the mom who feels the connection slipping—and doesn’t know how to stop it.

The daily reminders. The eye rolls. The battle over schoolwork that’s stealing your relationship.

You’re not doing it wrong. Middle school just requires different tools.

This workbook teaches you the conversation framework that gets your middle schooler talking instead of shutting down — so you can solve the real problem instead of just managing symptoms.

WHAT’S INSIDE:

22 pages of practical, fill-in-the-blank tools to help you:

✅ Understand why your middle schooler resists (and the one mistake making it worse)

✅ Use the 4-step Connection Reset framework in real scenarios

✅ Handle the “I don’t know” shutdown without giving up

✅ Apply the 5:1 communication ratio that unlocks what’s really going on

✅ Track your progress with the weekly Connection Reset Tracker

YOU’LL GET:

Section 1: Where You Are Right Now
Get honest about the daily battle, how you’re currently responding, and what you want instead

Section 2: Why Middle School Is Different
Understand the brain science and developmental shifts that change everything

Section 3: The Connection Reset Framework
Learn the 4-step conversation tool and the 5:1 communication ratio (with fill-in-the-blanks to practice)

Section 4: Real Scenarios
Work through 4 common situations:

  • The Shutdown (“It’s boring”)
  • The Overwhelm (“This is too much”)
  • The Deflection (“Why do I need this?”)
  • The Comparison (“My friend doesn’t have to”)

Each scenario includes: What you might normally do, the Connection Reset instead, what you might discover, and reflection prompts for YOUR situation

Section 5: Handling “I Don’t Know”
The specific steps to navigate the shutdown that kills most conversations

Section 6: Your Biggest Aha
Capture your breakthrough moment and create your action plan

Section 7: Weekly Tracker
Track what happens when you use the Connection Reset—notice patterns, shifts, and what you still need help with

Section 8: What’s Next
Your roadmap for going deeper (March organization workshop + ongoing support)

INCLUDES:

  • Printable PDF
  • Lifetime access
  • All future updates

THIS WORKBOOK IS FOR YOU IF:

👉 You’re reminding your middle schooler to start school 3+ times a day

👉 The daily fight over schoolwork is stealing your relationship

👉 You’ve tried consequences (taking the phone, removing privileges) but nothing changes

👉 You feel like you’re nagging more than teaching

👉 Your middle schooler shuts down with “I don’t know” and you don’t know what to do next

👉 You can feel the connection slipping and you’re worried about the teen years ahead

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT:

Not a script. A framework.

You’re not going to parrot back everything they say like a therapy robot. That would be annoying.

This is a strategic tool you adapt to your kid, your situation, your life.

Not perfection. Progress.

You’ll mess this up. You’ll forget and revert to old patterns. That’s okay.

This workbook helps you catch yourself, repair, and try again.

Not theory. Practice.

Fill-in-the-blanks. Real scenarios. A weekly tracker to see what’s working.

This is the conversation tool you use TODAY—not something you Google and forget.

FROM THE CREATOR:

“I homeschooled three daughters through middle school, and none of this came naturally to me.

I tried consequences. I tried lectures. I tried all the things that worked in elementary school.

They didn’t work anymore.

The Connection Reset is what changed everything. It’s how my daughters — now young adults — still talk to me, seek my input, and genuinely enjoy our family.

This workbook gives you the same framework I used, with room to make it yours.”

—Marina Joy, Founder of The Middle School on Track System™

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Is this for homeschoolers only?
No. While examples use homeschooling scenarios, the Connection Reset works for any parent navigating middle school resistance—homework battles, screen time arguments, chore wars, any situation where your middle schooler is shutting down.

What if I already took the workshop?
The workbook complements the workshop. If you attended live, you already have this. If you missed the live workshop or want the replay, you can purchase the bundle.

What ages is this for?
Ages 11-14 (middle school). The brain development and individuation happening during these years requires different tools than elementary or high school.

Do I need any special tools or training?
No. Just a pen and willingness to try something different. This is a practical, fill-in-the-blank workbook you can use immediately.

What if my middle schooler won’t talk to me at all?
That’s exactly why this framework exists. The Connection Reset is designed to handle the “I don’t know” shutdown and create safety so they start talking again.

How long does it take to complete?
You’ll fill it out as you go through the workshop or on your own (45-60 minutes). Then you’ll use the weekly tracker to practice and refine over time.

Is there a refund policy?
Due to the digital nature of this product, all sales are final. However, if you’re unsatisfied, please reach out and we’ll make it right.
