Homeschooling Middle School Planning Week
Reduce the overwhelm. Gain clarity. Build a plan that works — for both of you.
You don’t need a perfect plan. You need one that fits your real life — especially with a middle schooler in the mix.
This planning week will help you reduce the overwhelm.
You’ll get clear on what actually needs to happen before Christmas.
And you’ll build a structure that helps your tween take more ownership — without things slipping through the cracks.
By the end, you’ll have a focused plan and a way to walk your tween into it — so you’re not dragging them through it.
This is for you if…
- You’re homeschooling a middle schooler for the first time — and not sure how to adjust
- You’ve done middle school before but want this round to feel calmer and more intentional
- You’ve got curriculum in a pile, but no idea how to map it out
- You’re juggling multiple ages and need a way to make this stage work
- You want your tween to take more responsibility… but also stay connected
- You’re tired of starting the year already feeling behind
Middle school changes the game. This planning week helps you shift with it.
Here’s what we’ll do:
🗓 Monday, July 28 — Choose Your Core 3–4 Subjects
Start with what matters most. Whether you’ve picked your curriculum or not, we’ll walk through how to choose the right subjects to focus on before Christmas — based on your goals, your kid, and your capacity.
🗓 Tuesday, July 29 — Sketch Your Weekly Plan
We’ll turn your curriculum (and your life) into a rhythm that actually works. You’ll walk away with a schedule you can stick to — flexible enough to adjust, but solid enough to keep you moving forward.
🗓 Wednesday, July 30 — Ask Me Anything + Tween Buy-In Strategies
Bring your questions, calendar, and roadblocks. We’ll troubleshoot live.
Then we’ll talk about how to introduce the plan to your tween in a way that reduces resistance and gives them some ownership — without letting them run the show.
🟡 BONUS: Thursday, July 31 — Back-to-School Warm-Up Plan
This bonus session helps you set up the scaffolding your homeschool actually runs on.
You’ll discover:
- The 3 things to re-establish now that will make your first two weeks calmer and more focused
- How to reset household routines without feeling like you’ve started school early
- A simple way to get everyone on the same page about expectations — academic and non-academic
You’ll head into the August long weekend with your plan in place, your systems reset, and your brain a little quieter.
Hey, I’m MarinaJoy.
I’ve homeschooled my way through the middle school years 3 times. And I’ve learned that this stage asks something different from both you and your tween.
They’re growing, testing, stretching. You’re adjusting, recalibrating, trying to support them without getting lost in the process.
This planning week was born from that in-between space — where you’re no longer just managing lessons, but helping your child grow into more ownership, more maturity, and more responsibility.
It’s not about doing everything. It’s about getting clear on what matters this season, making a plan you can actually carry out, and feeling good about the way you’re leading your homeschool.
If you’ve been carrying the weight of “I should already have this figured out,” I promise — you’re not behind. You’re right on time. And you don’t have to do it alone.

During the Homeschooling Middle Schooling Planning Week, we’ll clear the mental clutter, step out of decision fatigue, and put the right pieces in place — so your homeschool has a rhythm that works for both of you.
You’ll walk away with:
- A plan for the first half of the year you can actually follow
- A weekly rhythm that works with your life — not against it
- A structure your tween can grow into
- Language and timing for getting your tween on board
- A smoother start to the year (without the scramble)

Answers to questions other moms have asked…
What if I haven’t chosen curriculum yet?
That’s okay. We’ll walk through how to decide what to focus on—and how to shape your plan around your real life, not just a wishlist.
What if I can’t attend live?
You’ll get the replays for every session. Watch whenever it works for you.
Is this only for new homeschoolers?
Nope. It’s for moms who want a solid plan — whether this is your first round of middle school or your third.
Let’s make a plan that actually works
You don’t have to map out the whole year. You just need a strong start (from now until Christmas) — and a plan that supports your tween without overwhelming either of you.
